Alicia and Scooby
We donated Scooby to a single parent family when he was just 8 weeks old. He was placed in this home to help their son, Evan, who had ADHD, but since their son has moved away to attend school, Scooby has been an enormous help to Dara, Evan's mother. She is somewhat disabled. Scooby helps her by carrying groceries, picking things up from the floor for her and by being a great companion. In the recent snow storm, Dara was stranded in her home. Her neighbors got her medications for her, but they couldn't make it up her driveway to give them to her. So she sent Scooby to get them for her. Dara doesn't know what she would do without Scooby. He knows a lot of tricks that keep her entertained and he is a very intuitive animal. He seems to know what she needs when she needs it. Scooby will forever be a hero to Dara and her family. We are very proud of him and know that he has changed Dara's life forever.
