Hi ! My name is Cindy and this story is about two very special dogs.Bishop and Jake. Bishop was my partner for 6 years during which time we shared everything.he saved my life time an again.Alerting me before I would have a seizure, sadly two years ago Bishop had to be put to sleep. Because of a large tumor at the base of his neck! I was inconsolable no matter what anyone said or tried to do by the way of cheering me up nothing worked.I was in a place where I had never been before.Alone and without my best friend! Somehow i felt that it was my fault that he had become sick an died.Crying all of the time! Until last summer when my son brought home a small pom puppy called Jake.He looked at me with those loving brown eyes, and I felt my heart melt as soon as he climbed into my lap.And began to kiss my face. Jake became a permanent fixture . Following me through the house barking when he wanted to play even though I was still somewhat reluctant to get to attached to him. Mainly because he reminded me so much of Bishop in the looks department that it hurt. But, one day while outside with my son Steven I had a seizure! It was so bad that the ambulance had to be called.Jake never left my side . Who would have thought that a 7lb. puppy could be such a little helper. I was later informed by my son that Jake never left my side ,although he continued to bark until someone came to help me. Sometimes I believe that somehow Bishop and the angel's sent me this little fellow to love.He still follows me around the house ,jumps up into my lap, barks when I am out of sight until I answer him.So that he knows that I am alright! You see Jake saved me in more than one way,he not only saved me from being lonely and not knowing the answer to my questions.Like what did I do wrong to loose my best friend?Jake saved me in so many other ways not just by alerting to a seizure, he showed me that I was ready to love and trust someone again.
