I brought home my two registered companions Bella and Max the day they turned 8 weeks old. They were filling the void left when I lost my last dog 4 days before. When they turned 1, Bella was diagnosed with a severe heart condition and given 2-6 years to live. You could hear it when placing your ear to her chest it was so bad. Being the sweet dog she is, it broke the cardiologist's heart to tell me as he slouched to floor with tears breaking. I decided that I would cherish every moment with her and give her the best 2-6 years a dog could have. I shortened her outdoor time a bit, but did not eliminate it and spent every moment I could kissing her and pampering her. When she was 2, I brought her back for a checkup and to see if there was anything to do to help prolong her life. The doctor ran several tests and was shocked to find a miraculous recovery. He could not explain it and had never seen anything like it. I believe the love she has brought into our home has been a factor in her recovery.
