My Grandparents dog saved my mother's life and I might not be here today if it was not for this dog. Unfortunately, I am 76 years old and too many years have passed to remember this dogs name or his breed. When all the of the family was living at home 5 boys & 3 girls in Spring St. in Franklin. They were all setting around the dining room table eating & their dog kept coming to the table & barking & tried to pull at their clothes & was running to the basement door. They didn't know what was wrong with the dog & he did that several different times so they followed the dog to the basement door & one of them touched the door knob & it was very hot so they found out there was a fire in the basement & got out of the house & got help & the fireman said if that dog had not warned them in time, the floor could have given way & they would have all been in the basement.
