Huggie Bear
Heidi and Huggie Bear
My dog saved my life! Six years ago I went t a pet store just to look at the puppies, when I spotted another couple holding this little ball of black fur. I asked if I could please hold him. They handed him to me. The little puppy looked into my eyes and I looked into his the rest is history. I bought the puppy, a Schipperke and named him Huggie Bear. Huggie Bear slept with me every night. Huggie Bear and I became very attached. Then one evening, 2 years later, we went to bed and went to sleep. Later he started to bark and lick my face and my arm. I told him to go back to sleep, it was 3:00 AM, but he would not stop. He kept barking, licking and nudging me. I started to get up and let him out t go to the bathroom. As soon as I stood up I knew what was wrong. I am a diabetic. I was very dizzy and disoriented. I took my blood sugar and it was down to 46. If Huggie Bear hadn't been there for me I might have had a seizure or possibly died. So, as you can see, Huggie Bear is my very special Angel. I pray to God every night to keep Huggie Bear and his brother Starsky, who is a Chihuahua very safe for me.
