Eva aka SSD Sundance

Eva was born into a litter destined to be service dogs, but when she was born she had no circulation in her hind legs. No one thought that Eva would walk and she was discharged from the program with the belief that she would most likely die or have very limited use of her legs. My boyfriend and I adopted Eva, and despite her scarring and "club foot" she is the happiest dog I have ever met.
Eva turned one in November and has not let her birth defect hold her back. She is not only my loyal companion but also my hiking buddy, swimming partner, and cuddle bug. She is currently a mentor to her 5 month old Golden doodle brother, and is proving just how intelligent she is with each new day. Eva has changed our lives and made us so happy.
Eva has beaten the odds and is an inspiration to us. In the future we plan to continue Eva's training with hopes of completing her therapy dog training so she can fulfill her original purpose of becoming a working dog.
