I am a 22 yr old dwarf and with that, every day comes with many obstacles. Simple everyday things are a lot harder to achieve. With my dog, who I rescued, was very unplanned yet a blessing. When I was young, I was very afraid of dogs and cats of all sizes so my childhood was strained because often I would be terrified to go to the beach or the park because I knew dogs would make an appearance. When I got my dog, I was still a little uneasy, but with no time, I got so used to his presence and learned that he was not going to harm me. My fear of dogs practically went out the window and I could enjoy beautiful animals. Now I can go to the park and the beach with no care in the world and I think that's a beautiful thing, all thanks to my dog. My dog is my world and I care for him like he was my own child. My dog makes everyday a great one. When he was young; he learned how to walk with me being in my wheel chair. Now I can walk him every day with no problem and I know he enjoys it. I like it because I get to go outside more often and enjoy the fresh air. He truly is my best friend and taking care of him makes my worries and obstacles go away. My favorite part is that thanks to my dog, he makes me feel like a regular person, especially since he does not know I'm a dwarf but just his owner and nothing else. My dog really changed my life and i love him for that everyday.
